Located in the far west lowland region of Nepal, Bardia is the largest of all the National Parks in the area and the second popular travel destination for those looking for jungle safari tour in Nepal. It has covered an area of 968 sq.km and is densely forested by Sal trees and carpeted with grass, Savannah, and Riverine Vegetation. The park has been natural habitats for most of the endangered species like the Rhinoceros, Wild Elephant, Tiger, Swamp Deer, Black Buck, Glacial, Crocodile, and Gangetic Dolphins, Endangered birds include the Bengal Florican, Lesser Florican, Silver-Eared Mesia and Sarus Crane.
This is the real natural park of endless potential for the wildlife enthusiasts to see from great migratory herds of the wild Indian Elephant to an incredible abundance and variety of bird life. Itinerary:
At 1:00 P.M you will arrive at Nepalgunj Airport or Ambasa Stand. Upon arrival the hotel/resort representative will receive you. You will then be transferred to hotel/resort and offered refreshment and briefing on the lodge facilities and the day program. The hotel/resort staff will allocate the room for you.
At 2.00 P.M you will be served lunch in the hotel/resort restaurant and at 3:00 P.M the naturalist will take you for excursion to a nearby ethnic Tharu village where you will experience more about the life and life style of the Tharus, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. At 6:00 P.M. we return to our resort and have dinner. At 7:30 P.M. you will enjoy local cultural program.
Wake up call at 5:30 A.M. followed by tea/coffee. At 7:00 A.M you will have breakfast and after breakfast you will go for Dugout canoe trip, at 8:30 A.M you will visit to the elephant breeding farm and enjoy swimming as well as elephant bath. At 9:30 A.M you will enjoy an ox-cart ride or a jeep drive back to the resort. At 11:00 A.M you will go for elephant ride, nature walk and visit the observation tower. At 1:00 P.M you will have lunch break and relax. At 2:30 P.M you will go in search of Tiger & one-horned rhino in the park. At 7:30 P.M you will have dinner and stay overnight.
Wake up call at 5:30 A.M. and have tea/coffee. At 6:00 A.M. you will go for bird watching tour into the temperate forest of Bardia to view and photograph of birds. At 8:00 A.M you will be back to the hotel for breakfast and at 9:00 A.M make final departure.
