Overview

Manaslu Circuit with Sama Goan is an inspiring trek around Mt. Manaslu (/8,156 m )  the world’s 8th highest). It is  truly  an adventurous and challenging trek. You will walk through an “untouched” wilderness region of Nepal. The trail beyond the Budhi Gandaki is considered a most difficult  in the Himalaya with huge ascents and descents (spanning altitudes from 375 meters to 5213 meters). For those seeking a real challenge, immense solitude, and ultimate views, this Manaslu Circuit with Sama Goan trek will meet the expectation.

The trail is rough and steep and at times hangs out high above the river. Being rigorous, this trek is wonderfully spectacular and culturally fascinating. The views of Manaslu and other neighboring peaks from Larkya La Pass (5213) will allure every climber.

Trekking  to Manaslu Circuit begins from the Arughat bazaar, in  the western part of Nepal following the  upstream of the Budi Gandaki river. From Kathmandu,  we  take you on our private  transport along  the Prithvi Highway until we reach Malekhu bazaar. Thereafter we  cross the Trishuli River and  continue  to  drive about 17 km to reach  Arughat bazaar.

From Arughat bazaar we walk through  lush green lower hills inhabited by Indo-Aryan Hindus and cross  the snow- bound Larkya La pass (5,213m). Larkya La Pass attracts every trekker. This  Larkya La Pass separates the  Manaslu and the Marshyangdi River valley. Larkya La Pass offers spectacular views and  it is quite interesting.  Trekkers should be physically most fit and mentally well prepared. The Manaslu Circuit trekking offers a superb alpine experience to those seeking true adventure.

Sama Gaon is a beautiful village of Mani walls, household monks, Gompas , narrow dirty alleyways with stone houses. One can visit Pema Choling Gompa. The income source   of people of Sama Gaon is based on farming, herding, and trading. One should spend at least  one extra day  in Sama Gaon
