Marshyangdi River Rafting is a three -day package on full board basis with Nepalese traditional meals and great fun. Marshyangdi, also locally termed as a raging river, is an ideal choice for those wanting an intense and extreme rafting trip in Nepal. This is one of Nepal’s most beautiful and steepest rivers, combining with glorious views, fascinating natural surroundings, and typical culture to make an incredible rafting trip. It offers some breathtaking scenery as it winds its way beyond Mt. Manaslu and Mt. Annapurna through forests and traditional villages. Rapids are continuous, very challenging and very committing. This solid white water is a serious trip, certainly not one for the faint-hearted paddlers. This is the river that demands challenge.
Before beginning the trip, our rafting guides will give some instructions to our guests about the techniques of rowing, sitting and behaving in the boat, acting in different situations. It is just a kind of short course of rafting for our guests. Our guides will also provide all the necessary equipment to the guests. No previous rafting experience is required for Marshyangdi River.
Arrive at the Tribhuwan International Airport where you will be welcomed by Trek Himalayan representative and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the afternoon is free until evening when you’ll be briefed about rafting followed by welcome drinks .Overnight in Kathmandu
Your guide will meet you at your hotel in the morning to begin your city tour of Kathmandu.You will visit the Boudhanath temple, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, Pashupatinath, a Hindu pilgrimage site, and possibly view cremation ceremonies along the banks of the Bagmati River. Continue drive to Patan Durbar Square to see the ancient Nepalese architecture and end your tour after lunch.Then, you will visit the Patan museum. Overnight in Kathmandu
An early morning we make departure from Kathmandu .It is 172 km long drive to Nagdi .Upon arrival, lunch will be served, rafts are pumped, and your expedition leader will brief you and train you about safety and paddling. In the evening we set up our river side camp under a star- filled sky. Overnight in camp
After breakfast we raft to Bhode Odar. This is the most knuckle gripping section of the river so you will enjoy it. We encounter rapids as Instant Karma, Twinkie, Adrenaline, and Mama’s Big. We make our overnight camp, take time to relax and rest after your second day of rafting in the wild rapids. Overnight in camp
After breakfast you join the raging river for another day, one rapid blends into another as you roar your way down to Turture. Make our overnight camp and enjoy the quiet evening around the camp fire. Overnight in camp
Today it is the last day on the river, we say good bye with some serious rapids and white water action. On arrival at Bimal Nagar, raft put- out point where we will have lunch and then drive towards Kathmandu.
