Jaljala trekking is a newly opened trekking route in the mid western part of Nepal. It falls under Rolpa district, which has a special connection with Maoist revolution of Nepal. We should organize this trek in a full board camping basis as there are very few basic lodges and private homes available along the route.
Being off the beaten trails of the region, very few tourists trek to this unexplored area. While trekking, one can enjoy the mesmerizing views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Mt. Annapurna 1, Mt. Sisne, Mt. Putha Himal and other mountains.
During the trek, one can also have an opportunity to explore the remote and undeveloped areas of Western Nepal where ancient culture and traditions have been well-preserved and people still practice the old Hindu religious rituals. Kham Magar ( one of the ethnic groups of people) are the major inhabitants of Rolpo district followed by other groups like Brahmins, Chettris, Newars and Thakuris.
Anyone can do Jaljala trekking as it is not required to have any trekking experience except the ability to walk for a few hours and a considerable amount of physical fitness. The best time to do Jaljala trekking is from February to May and August to December. If anyone is interested to book the Jaljala trek, please feel free to contact us at info@trekhimalayan.com.np
