amur is the sixth largest river in Nepal. It is also called ‘The Jewel of the Eastern Nepal’ which is appropriately matched to its name. The Tamur and its tributaries flow through the melting snows of Mount Kanchenjunga, the 3rd highest peak in the world. Tamur river rafting trip is combined with a three-day short trek through the foothills of the Himalayas in the Kanchenjunga region. Being located in the remote region, this river makes it truly beautiful and un-spoilt as it roars its way through deep gorges and lush countryside. Its shores are dotted with pristine white sandy beaches which are ideal for camping. The Tamur offers spectacular white water rafting and recommended only for more experienced rafters, as it has grade 5 and 6 rapids. The rapids are pretty extreme and the flow keeps changing every moment. The distance you will cover while rafting is almost 120 kilometers and you will get plenty of non-stop excitement a nd heart-in-mouth actions since there are almost 100 rapids need to be traversed through. Combining the best of Nepal, rafting, and trekking, this is an unforgettable journey
