The national capital of India, Delhi is the historic city showcasing varied monuments of national and historic significance.
While Delhi charms with is historic heritage, the cities of Agra and Jaipur lure the visitors with their fine artistry, reminiscent of the age of royalty, the stunning palaces and forts of Jaipur are beyond comparison.  The sight of one of Wonders of the World- Taj Mahal is possibly the greatest attraction of this tour and is further coupled with visit to other UNESCO World Heritage Sites in the city of Agra. To every visitor Khajuraho & Varanasi offers a breathtaking experience.

Itinerary:

  • Upon arrival to Tribhuvan International Airport you will be welcomed by Trek Himalayan representative and transferred to hotel. A short briefing in the hotel follows about the tour program after refreshment. Overnight in hotel

  • After breakfast our city guide will meet you at your hotel lobby and take you for Kathmandu sightseeing. During sightseeing you will visit the historical and cultural sites in Kathmandu that include Pashupatinath, a Hindu pilgrimage site, and possibly view cremation ceremonies along the banks of the Bagmati River, Boudhanath temple, the largest Buddhist stupa in Nepal, and the famous ‘Monkey Temple’ (Soyambhunath). After lunch we will drive to Patan Durbar Square to take in ancient Nepalese architecture and back to Kathmandu. Overnight in hotel

  • Today we drive you to Chitwan National Park and transfer to resort / hotel. In the late afternoon you will visit Tharu Village and experience the way of life of the local folks. Overnight at resort / hotel in Chitwan

  • Full day jungle activities that include jungle walk in the morning, canoeing, elephant safari and visit to elephant breeding centre in the afternoon and in the evening observe Tharu stick dance at resort / hotel in Chitwan

  • Early in the morning, you do some jungle activities before you leave for Pokhara-the city of natural paradise. Check in hotel in Pokhara and in the evening stroll around lake side and boating on Phewa Lake-one of the most rewarding lakes in Pokhara valley. Overnight in Hotel

  • Today you spend a full day sightseeing in and around all the popular sites in Pokhara. It covers Sarangkot Hill, World Peace Pagoda, Seti River Gorge, Mountain Museum, Vindhabasini Temple and other cultural and natural spots. Overnight in hotel

  • Drive back to Kathmandu & free day. Overnight in hotel

  • We transfer you to the Kathmandu airport to catch flight to Delhi. Upon arrival at Delhi airport our Delhi office staff will come to pick you up and transfer to hotel. After being refreshed your sightseeing tour begins. It will cover OLD DELHI – the former center of Mughal power which offers ancient monuments, narrow streets and bustling markets. Visit the Red Fort built in 1648 by the great Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. Also, you will visit the biggest mosque in India the Jama Masjid, constructed by Shah Jahan in 1658. Then, we drive you through the narrow lanes of Chandni Chowk to get a feel of the royal life of the  Mughal emperors. You will also visit a famous Jain Temple & Gurudwara in the vicinity.

  • After breakfast your sightseeing tour begins. You will visit Raj Ghat, the memorial to the father of our nation Mahatma Gandhi & Birla Mandir, the oldest temple in Delhi, Bahai Temple and Laxmi Narayan Temple:. After lunch you will visit “New Delhi” which came into existence much later, and is also known as Lutyens Delhi, taking after the name of a British architect who was largely responsible in designing India Gate, Presidential House, Secretariat, Parliament House and many other buildings in that area.
    Then, you will visit the recent jewel in the crown, Lotus Temple and then drive on to see the tallest tower in Delhi, known as Qutub Minar, which declared the arrival and rise of Islam in India.

  • Jaipur is located at a distance of 250 km from Delhi. Known as the pink city, it attracts a large number of tourists due to its rich heritage and culture. However, the best way to reach Jaipur from Delhi is by overland drive. The journey takes 5 hours. There are a few hotels and restaurants available on the way to Jaipur. You can take lunch in any one of these restaurants.

  • Today you will enjoy a full day sightseeing around Jaipur beginning with Amber which is, the ancient capital of the region prior to Jaipur. Amber is located 11 km north of Jaipur. Amber Fort is extremely well preserved and a fascinating place to explore. The fort’s majestic ramparts follow the natural contours of the ridge and he palace is full of hidden gems – the Sheesh Mahal (Palace of mirrors), Jas Mandir with its latticed windows and glass inlay work and Zenana. (women’s quarters) Elephants still carry visitors in stately splendour to the main Palace, through magnificent high gateways. This afternoon In Jaipur city, you will visit the opulent Maharaja’s City Palace which occupies the heart of Jai Singh II’s city and has been home to the City’s rulers for 200 years. A superb blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, the interiors of the Palace are lavishly furnished and decorated and the Museum houses a fabulous collection of textiles, art and crafts and arms. The Jantar Mantar or Observatory was built by Jai Singh II, a keen astronomer, in 1728. It resembles a collection of giant sculptures and was used to determine the position of the stars and planets, accurately calculate Jaipur’s time, make horoscopes and is today still used to forecast the expected arrival date and intensity of the monsoon and summer temperatures.

  • After breakfast at hotel we drive to Agra en-route visit Fatehpur Sikri (world heritage site) – built in Red Sandstone in honor of Saint Salim Chisti, who foretold the birth of 3 sons to emperor Akbar, an example of robust stability combined with originality each important edifice here represents a type by itself. Popular among them is the Diwane Khas, Punch Mahal, The Tomb of Salim Chisti, and the Buland Darwaza. After we visit all these sites we continue our journey to Agra and stay overnight at hotel in Agra

  • After breakfast we begin our sightseeing tour of Taj Mahal & Agra Fort (both are world heritage sites). Taj Mahal, the world’s greatest monument dedicated to love and devotion was built by the emperor Shah Jehan for his favourite wife Mumtaz. It is a perfect proportions and exquisite craftsmanship took 20,000 workers almost 22 years to complete in 1653. It is, undoubtedly, a building as close to perfection as is achievable and its appearance changes magically with the light at different times of the day. Situated on the west bank of the Yamuna River, the imposing red sandstone Agra Fort was started in 1565 by Akbar. The fort surrounded by a moat forms a crescent along the riverfront and encompasses a huge
    complex of courtly buildings reflecting the varied styles of the Emperors. Wander through the lavishly decorated halls, courtyards and galleries discovering hidden pavilions and alcoves glimpsing the Taj Mahal in the distance.

  • In the morning, we drive to Khajuraho. On arrival in Khajuraho, check into hotel and stroll around the market in the evening.

  • A small town famous for its erotic temples which were built by the Chandela rulers between 950-1050 A.D. Temples here falls in three distinct groups namely western, eastern & southern and belongs to two different religions – Hinduism and Jainism. These Hindu temples with erotic carvings were built 1000 years ago with art and architecture merged to perfection. The temples lie in an area of about 8 square miles. The western group, largest and most important, the eastern group belongs to the Brahmin and Jain shrines close to the present Khajuraho village and the Southern group which houses the Chaturbhujtemple. We also  visit Eastern Temple. Overnight in hotel

  • After breakfast we drive to Varanasi. On arrival to Varanasi, check in hotel. In the evening you will enjoy the Ganga Aaarti (worship of Holy Ganges). Back to hotel and stay overnight

  • Early in the morning, watch sun rise while boating in river Ganges. Return to hotel and later proceed for full day guided sight-seeing tour of Varanasi. The excursion includes the Bharat Mata temple, Banaras  Hindu University (BHU) the Vishwanath temple and Ghats. After lunch you will visit the historic Sarnath – Lord Buddha gave his first sermon. Other places include Ashoka Pillar, archaeological museum and the Dhamekh Stupa. In the evening enjoy the Ganga Aaarti (worship of Holy Ganges). Overnight in hotel

  • After a breakfast departure transfer to board the flight to Delhi and same day connect the international flight for your home country or onward destinations. (Tour Ends)
